In a case study published in the journal Pediatrics, physicians detail how the 18-year-old had been using e-cigarettes for only three weeks before being rushed to the emergency room at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. The flavor of an e-cigarette may affect more than a consumer’s taste buds, according to Penn State researchers By Katie Bohn | April 9th, 2018 who say the chemicals that make up different flavors also produce different levels of free radicals, toxins often associated with cancer and other diseases. New Study Supports Need For Random Clinical Trials

An analysis of data from a previous study of more than 1,350 smokers intending to quit after a hospitalization- By Sue McGreevey | March 26th, 2018 found that those who reported using electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) during the study period were less likely to have successfully quit smoking six months after entering the study.
